Before doctors can prescribe a treatment,
they must first diagnose the health problem. The same holds true for pest
control in rice. You must first identify the pest before you determine the
best pest control approach.
In this year’s Pest Management Guide, we’ll provide you with photographs and a brief description of the most common pests found in rice fields. We’ve also included up-to-date weed response to herbicide charts that show how each of the chemicals registered for use in rice performs against specific weeds. Neither is meant to be an all-inclusive reference for pest control but rather a quick read. If you have further questions, contact your local county agent or Extension specialist. As with any pesticide, always read and follow label instructions. |
