RiceTec to highlight hybrid advances at Arkansas field day

RiceTec snow cones
RiceTec had a snow-cone wagon at the 2018 field day. With warm summer temperatures, the cool treats were a big hit.

RiceTec plans to shot off its new herbicide-tolerant products, the FullPage Rice Cropping Solution, at its Arkansas field day, Aug. 6, in Harrisburg.

FullPage hybrids are paired with Preface and Postscript herbicides from Adama. Both are IMI herbicides labeled only for use with FullPage hybrids.

Field day speakers also will discuss irrigation management.

As a tradition at field day, the group will tour RiceTec demonstration plots, and visit with vendors, other farmers and RiceTec representatives. Dinner and door prizes will be included along with CCA continuing education credits.

The indoor portion of the program will include presentations from authorities in the rice industry, highlighting some of the challenges and successes farmers and the industry are currently balancing. These presenters include Dr. Bobby Coats, ag economist, Arkansas Department of Agriculture,  and Mike Gumina, Global CEO of RiceTec
