For the 10th year, Syngenta is sponsoring its Pest Patrol program, which provides pest alerts to growers and consultants who have signed up for the text messaging service. Growers and consultants also are able to access the same information using their smartphones through a mobile website or a computer through a conventional website.
Regardless of the access method, university entomologists in their respective states will provide the latest in-season information to help growers and consultants make the best pest-control decisions.
Visitors simply select a state to view expert profiles and pest updates for local areas. To be notified when new updates are posted, visitors can sign up to receive text message alerts by:
• Registering online at www.syngenta-us.com/pest-patrol, or via text message by texting the corresponding short-code word listed in the table below to 97063.
• Replying upon receipt of a confirmation text with the letter “Y” to complete registration.
• Repeating steps 1 and 2 for each entomologist from whom they wish to receive updates.
