Webinars scheduled for annual state outlook and research reports

In lieu of in-person meetings at the now-canceled 2020 USA Rice Outlook Conference, the annual state outlook and research reports will be held live via webinar.  The bedrock of the Outlook Conference and the culmination of a year in the rice industry, these reports provide updates, research and analysis from land grant universities in all six rice-producing states.

The webinars will air live through the first week of December but will also be conveniently available to view after the fact on the USA Rice website.  They also will be interactive, allowing for Q&A and input from audience members.

The Arkansas report will air on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 8-9 a.m., CST.  Dr. Jarrod Hardke of the University of Arkansas Rice Research and Extension Center will cover research and outlook.

The Louisiana report will air on Dec. 2, 10-11 a.m., CST.   From the Louisiana State University AgCenter Rice Research Station, Dr. Don Groth will cover research, and Dr. Ronnie Levy will cover outlook.

The Mississippi report will air on Dec. 2, 1-2 p.m., CST.  From the Mississippi State University Delta Research and Extension Center, Jeffrey Mansour will cover research and Dr. Brian Mills will cover outlook.

The Missouri report will air on Thursday, Dec. 3, 8-9 a.m., CST.  Dr. Michael Aide of Southeast Missouri State University will cover research and outlook.

The Texas report will air on Dec. 3, 10-11 a.m., CST.  From the Texas A&M AgriLife Research Extension Service, Dr. Ted Wilson will cover research, and Dr. Joe Outlaw will cover outlook.

The California report will air on Friday, Dec. 4, 1:30-2:30 p.m. PST (3:30-4:30 p.m., CST).  Dr. Bruce Linquist of the University of California Davis, Department of Plant Sciences, will cover research and outlook.
