This year, the Acadia Parish Louisiana State University AgCenter will again be hosting the Acadia / LSU South Farm Field Day, June 12, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

We will have LSU AgCenter rice and soybean specialists give talks regarding rice varieties, agronomics, state update, rice diseases, rice insects, rice herbicides and soybean production.

Most presentations, like in years past, will be done inside the lab, and then we will do a rice herbicide field tour. The field tour will begin around 9:30 a.m. (once the lab talks are done).

At the end of the rice herbicide field tour, we will conclude with soybean production.

This year’s speakers include:

• Dr. Dustin Harrell

• Dr. Adam Famoso

• Dr. Don Groth

• Dr. Blake Wilson

• Dr. Eric Webster

• Dr. Boyd Padgett

The address to the LSU AgCenter South Farm is 7370 S. La 13, Crowley, which is located right outside the city limits of Crowley on Highway 13.

If you have any questions or need special accommodations, please contact Acadia Parish agent Jeremy Hebert at JPHebert@agcenter.lsu.edu.
