RGA logoRice Growers Association LLC recently opened an office in Yuba City, Calif.

The vertically integrated company was formed by rice producer Greg Van Dyke and industry veteran Pat Daddow.

RGA plans to provide consumers with a “Farm to Fork” experience by managing the rice supply chain from soil preparation through milling to their table.

The team, which includes Mark Chesini and Nick Fox, has 75 years of combined experience in rice production, processing and marketing worldwide.

The RGA Advantage program will offer California rice producers direct access to premium markets worldwide. It also will provide enhanced management tools to help farmers’ cash flow and pricing decisions.

If the RGA name sounds familiar, that’s because it is.

“We are an innovative new company using leading-edge technology along with first hand know-how to produce premium rice,” Daddow said in a news release. “That know-how was earned by the generations of farming families that came before us. We humbly honor and acknowledge that deep, long and rich heritage. If there are mixed reactions to the name of our company and the long history of the RGA name, we will assuredly continue the tradition of innovation that the former company brought to the rice-farming community.”
