LSU AgCenter to livestream virtual crawfish boil Feb. 25

Pass a good time with the Louisiana State University AgCenter at our virtual crawfish boil, noon-1 p.m. CST, Feb. 25! Bring your crawfish questions for the experts.

LSU AgCenter aquaculture specialist Greg Lutz and research farm specialist John Sonnier will discuss Louisiana crawfish production — harvesting, pond management including nuisance animals, and the white spot syndrome virus.

LSU AgCenter and Louisiana Sea Grant crawfish specialist Mark Shirley will provide updates and insight into the crawfish industry.

LSU AgCenter and Louisiana Sea Grant seafood extension specialist Evelyn Watts will discuss boiling crawfish- washing, purging, cooking time and temperatures, seasoning methods compared to commercial operations.

This event will be livestreamed on the LSU AgCenter’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. The event also will be recorded for later viewing.
