King of Prussia, Pennsylvania-based United Phosphorus Inc., also known as UPI, changed its name to UPL NA Inc. Jan. 1 to better reflect its global corporate identity.
The change also comes after several recent acquisitions, including the June 2018 purchase of Arysta LifeScience for $4.2 billion.
UPL, based in Mumbai, India, has a presence in more than 130 countries and 33 manufacturing and formulation facilities in 11 countries. It focuses on off-patent products.
The company has invested heavily in research and development and launched more than 100 new products in the past two years, according to a news release.
